Description

The duo of heart paintings is a vibrant and energetic expression of feelings and spirituality, inviting reflection and meditation.

Paz Arés Osset has managed to capture the essence of the Buddhist mandala, a symbol of meditation and peace, and transform it into a visual manifestation of light and energy. Using acrylic on canvas, she has created two paintings that, although independent, form an inseparable pair that engage in a powerful dialogue with each other.

In the first image, where both paintings are presented together, a visual dialogue evokes a deep connection. The warm colors and enveloping textures generate a sense of movement and dynamism. The tones of orange, red, and yellow dominate the composition, evoking fire and light, essential elements in the search for spiritual enlightenment.

In the first painting, the central heart, outlined with spiral lines, not only draws the viewer's gaze to the center but also symbolizes the depth of emotions and meditation. This hypnotic element invites introspection, reminiscent of the Buddhist practice of using mandalas for meditation and the search for inner peace.

The second painting, although similar in palette and technique, offers subtle differences that enrich the visual experience. The more defined heart and the inclusion of the word "Paz" (Peace) within it not only personalize the work but also reinforce the message of hope and unification. The spiral and the "A" within the heart symbolize a beginning, an inspiration, and a profound desire for universal peace and harmony.

Paz Arés Osset has used the vivid colors of fire not only as a symbol of destruction but as an illuminating fire. This fire of the heart, spinning in the mandala, seeks to dispel darkness and extend waves of light and peace. The work is a visual prayer, a circle symbolizing God, and a hope that this light will extend and dissipate all the darkness in the world, including wars and genocides.

The colors, although vivid and cheerful, contain a profound message. The heart in the center of both paintings is Paz's heart, which desires to shine in all humans and unite with joy despite the difficulties and suffering symbolized by the fire. It is a work that demonstrates the supremacy of light over darkness, a declaration of hope and resilience.

The work of Paz Arés Osset is visually striking and deeply significant. Her technique and choice of colors convey a message of peace, meditation, and hope. She has managed to capture the essence of Buddhist mandalas and transform it into a powerful visual statement that resonates with the viewer, inviting them to reflect and meditate on peace and light in the world.
